Parts / Stores person

Overall Job Purpose:

To manage the storage and safekeeping of company goods, receive deliveries, monitor stock levels and be responsible for all paperwork related to the receiving and dispatched of company goods.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Receiving and checking of delivered goods

Update company system on parts/stock levels and communicating any shortages with the service department Picking parts and preparing “kit ups” for builds and projects

Keeping detailed records of supply shortages and surplus stock

Order and organise delivery/dispatch of required parts

Maintain good organisation of company stores

Use of forklift truck (Counterbalance)

Liaise with other departments of the company such as Service and Engineering Department. Personal Qualities and Qualifications

Personal Specifications:

Previous experience working as a store’s person or in a similar profession

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to work quickly and methodically

Basic IT skills with a working knowledge of inventory management systems

Ability to cope with physically demanding work i.e. lifting heavy items, bending, etc. Comfortable working in an engineering/workshop environment

Qualifications and Certification:

Secondary school level education in English and Maths

No other qualifications specifically required however, qualifications or certification in Warehousing or Stores

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm


Near Exeter (30mins drive approx.)

Remuneration: £21,000 Probation: 3-month probationary period

Training: You will receive on the job training on the company’s products and services. Additional Benefits:

Pension Scheme 20 Days Annual Holidays + Bank Holidays

Further training (at manager’s discretion)

This role offers the successful candidate to work in a very unique field of engineering conducting maintenance, repairs and installations of a variety of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
