Job Description

We are actively seeking a dynamic individual to join our client as a Business Development Executive. In this role, you will proactively identify new business opportunities, initiate initial contact, and execute a contact strategy leading to appointments for our Account Executives and Agents.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Identify and contact new business leads and opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting in alignment with the company’s sales strategy within specified new business sectors.
  • Achieve targets for new business opportunities and other activity-based goals.
  • Effectively manage the CRM system, ensuring accurate entry of all relevant customer information.
  • Coordinate appointments for Account Executives, providing comprehensive notes and preparation details for colleagues attending the appointment.
  • Utilise marketing campaign information to contact customers in a controlled manner.
  • Manage personal diary alongside appointment setting.

Key Attributes and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working within the insurance environment, ideally in commercial insurance or as an insurance broker.
  • Proven telesales or appointment setting experience.
  • Demonstrated drive and enthusiasm to exceed targets.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards the workplace and a keen contribution to a team ethic.
  • Strong commitment to excellent service.
  • Understanding of compliance adherence.
  • Good level of IT skills, including proficiency in using CRM.
