Job Description

Our client is in search of an Electrical Technician/Electrician to join their thriving business in Wellington, Somerset. The duties and responsibilities of the role include undertaking machine and panel wiring from scratch based on supplied materials and wiring diagrams. You may also be required to test, diagnose faults, and rectify electrical and electronic systems. Flexibility is essential, as there may be travel involved to customer sites outside of the UK for equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wiring electrical panels and machinery according to E-plan drawings.
  • Installation and wiring of inverter drives, servo, or induction motors.
  • Electrical circuitry installation for pneumatic valve manifolds.
  • Fault finding and rectification of electrical circuits with the assistance of wiring diagrams.


  • Experience as an electrical technician/engineer.
  • Trained with qualifications in relevant electrical disciplines.
  • Proficient in interpreting and being familiar with drawings and symbols (IEC 61082, IEC 81346, IEC 61355, ISC 60617, ISO 1219, and wiring practices ISO 13849, IEC 60204).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using computers to find information.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Confidence in working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and experience in electrical design would be advantageous.
  • Driving licence
