We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Planning Officer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and development process of an Off-shore Wind Farm application in the North Devon area. This position is entirely flexible, allowing the officer to work from home, with occasional site visits to North Devon as necessary.
- Review and assess the planning application for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, environmental agencies, and local authorities to address concerns and ensure adherence to guidelines.
- Conduct occasional site visits to the North Devon area as required by the planning application process.
- Provide on-site assessment and gather relevant information to support the planning decision-making process.
- Manage and respond to all correspondence and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests associated with the application.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to communications and inquiries.
- Work remotely to review documents, prepare reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to project timelines.
- Degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in handling planning applications, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and environmental impact assessments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Access to a vehicle for occasional site visits.
