Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join their team and cover a vacancy starting from Monday, 15th April. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their busy kitchen, which serves over 250 meals per day to their students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including meal preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are consistently met.
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance and training as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with school administration and staff to meet dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
- Possession of an up-to-date Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Must have own uniform.
