Job Description

Due to continued growth, our client is actively seeking and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their team. As Technical Sales Representative, your role will be to drive sales of specifics product lines to clients throughout the UK & Northern Ireland. This will be achieved by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing client through B2B sales over the phone/email or site visits. Please be aware, this role will require a degree of travelling however, you will be responsible for your own diary management so any travelling can be arranged to suit your personal schedule.

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will:

  • Identify and qualify news sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to encourage long-term buyers.
  • Discuss requirements with customers to understand their needs and offer and effective solution.
  • Discuss products with customers and explain technical concepts effectively.
  • Produce reports and proposals for new clients when required.
  • Source, price and deliver quotes on suitable equipment.
  • Manage customer accounts by keeping regular contact.
  • Completed various sales related administration while keeping an up-to-date CRM
  • Work to and achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Travel to meet with clients and vendors when required.
  • Research current market trends and learning about developments in the industry.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and departments such as Design, Marketing, and servicing.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in Technical Sales, ideally B2B in and Engineering Discipline.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake in-house, product specific training.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be internally motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • Exceptional levels of customer service
  • Comfortable travelling the UK, Ireland and staying away when required.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and manage own schedule. Additional Information: Location: Somerset Based Head Office, Covering the UK and Norther Ireland

Remuneration: £30,000 to £40,000 (dependant on experience) + 1% Commission on every sale

Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, Hours of work may vary due to the nature of the work and travel requirements.


  • Company Car (Personal use permitted)
  • Commission Structure (1% of all sales example sales £10,000 to £30,000 = £100 to £300 in commission)
  • Death in service policy – 4 x Salary
  • 22 days paid annual leave + Bank Holidays and Christmas Closure
